The oldest trick in the book...

As we left Ouarzazate , we found and old car with 3 guys standing next to it , signaling us to stop. Seing that they were in trouble we stopped and one asked us for a lift to the next town, 20kms further down. As we had no space, we kindly agreed to take a note written in Arabic to his "cousin" in the same town. The note was supposed to say that the car has broken down and they needed assistance.
When we got there we delivered the telegram and the man kindly invited us to drink some tea. This was a big carpet and Moroccan souvenir shop with all kinds of scarfs money can buy. We felt a bit strange and slowly started to realise the scam...
Yes, the 3 guys stand there all day giving the tourists notes to guide them into the shop so that they can be talked into buying stuff. Maybe someone can use this well planned scam in the fabric business...
At the end we managed to leave the shop without byuing anything and still taking pictures with the guys.

live and learn...
